The hoster will receive all network data sending requests to our server in order to deliver our website.
We have a data processing agreement with our hoster, which ensures that processing of personal data regarding our website visitors is done only in compliance with GDPR.
3. Data Storage Period
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in this privacy policy, we will store your personal data until the purpose for storing is no longer applicable. If storage is no longer required we will delete your personal data. The only exception are regulatory reasons, such as retention periods for tax or commercial purposes.
4. Automated individual decision-making
We do not on any individual basis make use of automated decision-making.
5. Protection of your Personal Data
We use several technological and organizational practices to ensure your personal data is protected.
5.1 SSL Encryption
Our services can only be reached through SSL encrypted channels. Should you request our services through a non-encrypted channel you will be redirected to the encrypted version instead.
5.2 Data Access Restrictions
Only a select few of our employees are authorized to access our user database or other services where your personal data might be stored. Employee access is only given on the basis that it is required for them to perform their duties. All direct data access is restricted through a mixture of security measures.
5.3 Data Protection Incidents
Should a case arise where we suspect that your personal data might have been compromised we will contact you immediately. We will also contact our responsible data protection authority to inform them of such an incident.
Please note that we will never contact you to ask you for your password.
6. Sharing Personal Data with other Parties
In the course of our business operations, we collaborate with several external parties. Occasionally, this requires sharing personal data with these external parties. We only share personal data when it is essential for fulfilling a contract, when we are legally required to do so by authorities, when we have a legitimate interest as outlined in Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR or when there exists another legal basis for transferring personal data.

Our website contains links to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by us. All external links are marked with an outgoing arrow symbol (↗). While we consider these links relevant for users we do not endorse or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. II. What data do we process when visiting the website?
1. Server Log Files
1.1 Which Data is processed?
Whenever you visit our website, server log files are automatically transmitted by your browser for every request you make. This data consists of:
- Your IP address
- The website you visit from
- Websites you visit from our website
- Your device’s operating system
- Your browser and its current version
- The date and time of your request
- A status indicator of whether your request was successful
- Hostname of the accessing device
- Size of data transferred
1.2 Purpose of Collection
The temporary storage of this data is necessary during your website visit in order to enable delivery of the website. Log files are stored in order to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of our server and other IT systems. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter f of GDPR.
1.4 How long is the data stored?
The data will be stored until its purpose for which it was collected is fulfilled. Log files will be deleted after a period of 90 days at the latest.
2. Cookies
Cookies are small key-value based data objects used to save different parameters whenever you visit our website. Some cookies will delete automatically whenever you leave the website, while others might persist. In this subsection we will give you a detailed list of which cookies we set and for what reason.
All cookies are saved in your browser only. Therefore you can of course block cookies from being set at all or delete cookies on your own. However, in case of technically necessary cookies this can lead to the website ceasing to function properly.
2.1. Session Cookies
Session cookies are set in two cases:
Whenever you log into our website. With this Cookie we can check your login status. Depending on which state your session cookie has you will be able to access the restricted user area of the website.
Whenever you visit our website's landing page. With this cookie we can assure that our forms, such as the contact or the newsletter form are not abused by malicious bots that automatically interact with our website.
Our session cookies are technically necessary in order to make the login section and user area of our website function. Our legal basis for setting session cookies is legitimate interest, as they are necessary to have functional authorization and authentication mechanisms in place.
Our session cookies are further technically necessary in order to secure our contact and newsletter form from abuse by bot behavior. Our legal basis for setting these session cookies is legitimate interest, as without securing our email forms we can't assure proper email communication with legitimate website visitors or users.
2.1.2. How long is the cookie stored?
A session cookie will expire as soon as you close the browser window. Deleting an identity session cookie will also log you out automatically.
2.2. Antiforgery Cookies
The antiforgery cookie are set whenever you visit a page on our website that contains a form, e.g. a input that will be sent to our server through a state-changing request. An example would be the log in area, where you input your email address and your password. There is one cookie set as antiforgery cookie with a name starting with ".AspNetCore.Antiforgery." . The cookie and a hidden value from the form are sent to our server through double submit in order to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks that might be harmful for our users.
2.2.1. Legal basis for setting the cookies
Our antiforgery cookies are technically necessary for security reasons to protect all visitors of our website from malicious cross-site request forgery. Our legal basis for setting session cookies is legitimate interest, as they are necessary to protect visitors from malicious actors that might try to forge requests made through forms.
2.2.2. How long is the Cookie stored?
The antiforgery cookies will expire as soon as you close the browser window.
2.3. Third Party Cookies
Third party cookies are not set by us directly. However, our payment provider Paddle (see section VI) may set cookies of their own during checkout. Please read Paddle’s privacy policy to ensure that you agree to their terms before entering the checkout process.
3. Your IP Address
3.1 Which Data is processed?
Whenever you open our Website's landing page or any other page with pricing information, your IP Address is transmitted to our Merchant of Record, Paddle in order to calculate country-specific pricing.
3.2 Purpose of Collection
Your IP Address is processed in order to determine your country of origin. Without this information we can't provide you with correct pricing options relevant to your country.
3.3 Legal basis for processing
This data is processed based on Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter f, to provide you with country-specific pricing, as product prices may differ per country.
3.4. How long is the data stored?
We do not store IP addresses outside of server log files as indicated in section II.1. For Paddle's storage periods and data processing operations please refer to their privacy policy.
III. What data do we process when you subscribe to our Newsletter or receive transactional emails
This part describes which personal data we collect whenever you subscribe to our Newsletter or we send you transactional emails.
1. Newsletter Subscription
In order to send you our newsletter we use the platform Brevo operated by Sendinblue GmbH, which collects and processes data according to their own privacy policy. They are committed to compliance with GDPR.
1.1. Which Data is processed?
- Your email address the newsletter should be sent to
- A web beacon that processes whether the email was delivered, opened, clicked on, sent to spam and additional data as laid out in their privacy policy.
1.2. Purpose of Collection
Data processing is done with your consent of subscribing to our Newsletter. You can revoke your consent at any time. We will also include a link to end the subscription with each Newsletter email you receive. Revocation of consent does not affect the legality of already carried out data processing operations.
1.3. Legal basis for processing
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter a of GDPR after receiving your consent to receive newsletters from us.
1.4. How long is the data stored?
All data relevant for sending and managing your Newsletter subscription will be stored until you unsubscribe from the Newsletter.
2. Transactional emails
Transactional emails are relevant to provide our services to you. This might include, but is not limited to, emails with the purpose to:
- reset your password
- confirm your email address
- complete the purchase
In order to send you transactional emails we use the platform Brevo operated by Sendinblue GmbH, which collects and processes data according to their own privacy policy. They are committed to compliance with GDPR.

2.2. Purpose of Collection
Data processing is done with usage of our services. You can unsubscribe from transactional emails, however, this will make it impossible for us to fulfill our contract with you, as license handling is done through your Centias account. Unsubscribing does not affect the legality of already carried out data processing operations.
2.3. Legal basis for processing
Our legal basis to processed this data may be to fulfill our contract with you, on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter b of GDPR. In case of setting your initial password this is required for you to access your account which holds the license you have purchased. Informing you of a new license serves as confirmation that a purchase has been successful.
This data may also be processed based on Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter f concerning email confirmation and resetting your password. With these mechanisms we ensure account security and thus safe operations of our IT infrastructure.
2.4. How long is the data stored?
All data relevant for sending you transactional emails will be stored until your account is deleted.
IV. What data do we process when you contact us?

This data may also be processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter b of GDPR, to ensure we can fulfill our contract with you, for example if you have problems accessing your license.

Your data will be stored until your contractual relationship with us ends or any legal retention periods no longer apply.

V. What data do we process when you use our Software?
This part of the privacy policy is aimed at users of the .NET package Centias.
Registered email address and Access Token for download from our private NuGet feed
In order to download the Centias package you have to authenticate against our private NuGet feed. This is done with the following data:
- Your registered email address
- Your secret access token
- Automatically transmitted network data as outlined in I.1
1.2. Purpose of Collection
Registered email addresses are unique and can therefore be attributed to the requester directly. We process this data in order to deliver our .NET package exclusively to either update license holders or those with a fallback license. To differentiate which version can be accessed by which user we need the username as identifying factor. The secret access token is evaluated to protect access from unauthorized individuals.
1.3. Legal basis for processing
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter b of GDPR.
1.4. How long is the data stored?
Both registered email address and access token will be stored until the user deletes their user account, which they can do in the user area of the Website. The access token can further be deleted individually or exchanged for another.
2. Request Data in Production Environments for License Validation
2.1. Which Data is processed?
Whenever you use Centias in a production environment, that is with a base URL that is neither a typical testing or development environment, we will receive requests from your Centias application in order to validate your Centias license. This data consists of:
- Your IP address
- Your device's operating system
- The date and time of your request
- A status indicator of whether your request was successful
- Hostname of the accessing device
- Size of data transferred
2.2. Purpose of Collection
The temporary storage of this data is necessary during use of the Software in order to enable license validation. Request data is stored in order to ensure the functionality of license validation and the security of our server and other IT systems. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter f of GDPR.
2.4. How long is the data stored?
The data will be stored until its purpose for which it was collected is fulfilled. Request data will be deleted after a period of 90 days at the latest.
VI. Your rights and how to exercise them
In this section we will outline your rights regarding your personal data.
Right to withdraw your Consent
Certain data processing operations require your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, however, this will not impact the legality of previously completed data processing operations. It will also not impact data processing for which there is a legal permission and which may therefore be processed without your consent.
Right to Rectification
You may demand the rectification of your personal data or the completion of incomplete personal data.
Right of Access
You may demand at any time information about which of your personal data we process and in what way. You may further demand a copy of all personal data we have stored about you.
Right to Object
You may object at any time against processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In addition, you can object to data processing based on legitimate interest at any time if there are special reasons for doing so.
Right to Restriction of Processing
There are circumstances where you can ask for the processing of your data to be restricted, such as if you think your data is inaccurate, if the processing is illegitimate, or if you have objected to processing of your data.
With these restrictions your data can only be processed in very limited ways without your permission, like for example legal matters or protecting the rights of others.
Right to Data Portability
You may demand your personal data we have stored in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You further have the right to transfer this data to a third party. If technically feasible, you may also demand that we transfer this data for you to a third party.
Right to Erasure
The Right of Erasure, also called the "right to be forgotten," allows you to request that your personal data be deleted from our records. However, there are some exceptions, like when the data is needed for legal reasons, regulatory purposes or document retention periods.
Right of Complaint
If you are of the opinion that our processing of your personal data is not safeguarding your rights regarding GDPR you may file a complaint at your responsible data protection authority.
VII. What data do we process when you buy a product through our website?
1. Payment Information and Payment Service Provider
Our order processing is conducted by Paddle, a third-party payment service provider. Paddle serves as the Merchants of Record for all our orders. Paddle further handles returns and customer service inquiries on our behalf.
We use Paddle to ensure a safe and functional payment process globally. Paddle incorporates a PCI-compliant payment system and is GDPR compliant.
1.1. Which Data is processed?
Payment information provided by you may be stored and processed by Paddle. This includes but is not limited to:
- Your billing address
- Your country
- Your name
- Your email address
- The products you buy
- Payment amount
- Payment rate
- Optional for credit card payment: the card holder
- Optional for credit card payment: card payment identifier
- Optional: Your business information
- Optional: Your VAT ID

Please note, that we do not have access to your credit card data.
1.2. Purpose of Collection
Both Paddle and we use the provided data for product fulfillment, order processing, fraud prevention, and product support.
1.3. Legal basis for processing
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter b of GDPR.
1.4. How long is the data stored?
Your personal data will be stored as long as you are in a contractual relationship with us.
For regulatory reasons, such as retention periods for tax or commercial purposes some data is excluded from deletion until such retention periods have been fulfilled.
For data retention on Paddle's side please refer to their privacy policy.
2. Account Creation
If you buy a product through our website with an email address not yet stored by us, we will automatically create a user account with this email address through our server. If an account with the email address already exists we will add the appropriate number of licenses to the account in question.
2.1. Which Data is processed?
- The email address you used during the payment process
- The products you bought
2.2. Purpose of Collection
With your email address we can make sure that only you have access to the account password setup process. We also ensure that only you have access to the password reset mechanism.
With the list of products you have bought we will create the appropriate number of licenses for you to use.
The account contains all relevant mechanisms to download the product you purchased. You can also manage production domains through the account. The account area is protected by a login page, where you must set a password beforehand.
2.3. Legal basis for processing
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6, Para. 1, Letter b of GDPR. In order to fulfill your order we process your email address and product list and create a user account with the proper amount of licenses included.
2.4. How long is the data stored?
Your account data will be stored as long as you are in a contractual relationship with us.
You may also choose to delete your account permanently in the user area.
However, deleting your account will have you lose access to your purchased products usability in productive environments, as we won’t be able to validate your product licenses against our database. Please proceed with care.
